The three stairs of the plateau on the assembly ground seemed to be too small to an old plump Mrs Marvelous. She stood on it looking at the students whose ears and eyes became extra active to see and hear the cause of not only the expression of anger on Mrs Marvelous' and the teachers' faces but also the crisis that took place in school that same day. SS3 students, especially the science students wondered why Olivia and Juliet weren't among them on the assembly ground.
"Listen to me all of you" the principal began. It was actually the way she addresses students or begins her speech whenever she's angry which of course the students were aware of. "The licentiousness exhibition of students today in this school which my ears and eyes have seen is very imponderable. First, i want to know the cause of what happened today. Where did it start from and who is responsible for it?" she asked.
The senior students began to murmure looking at each other while the juniors looked at them to provide the answer to the questions coz they knew nothing about it.
"I'm listening!" the principal shouted taking few steps sideways. "I will make sure i punish all of you if you don't provide the answers!"
"It started from our classroom, ma!" Nath exclaimed then everybody kept quiet looking at him, even Ellen.
"Who made that statement? Come out here" the principal commanded.
"Anuma come out!" Mr Jumbo added.
Nath glanced at Ellen who didn't say anything before going out from the crowd. All the students watched him silently until he stood on the plateau.
"Now, tell us how it happened" the principal said.
"As the break period went on.." Nath began. "A small container fell from Cent. Within some seconds, students began to misbehave" he concluded then glanced at the principal in a way that shows: THAT'S ALL I KNOW.
The principal moved closer to him and asked, "Are you saying that Cent is responsible for what happened today?"
Nath became quiet without knowing what to say.
"Is Cent the person who brought the chemical to school?" the principal asked again.
"I don't know, ma. I only saw it fell from his hands" Nath replied.
"You're lying to me"
"No, ma"
The principal ignored him silently. Other students and Nath himself knew that he was becoming a suspect and getting into trouble. Therefore, Ellen shouted from the crowd, "I know who brought the chemical compound!"
Hearing that, students began to murmur looking at her. Nath stared at her too as she walked out to the plateau standing beside him.
"Head-girl, who brought the chemical?" the principal questioned then all became quiet.
"Cent must have been the one who brought it because i saw him sabotaged my practical with it yesterday in the laboratory. When i asked why and what element he used, he never answered me" Ellen explained.
There was arising soliloquy among the students as Mrs Marvelous glanced at Mr Jumbo.
"Were you aware of this sir?" she asked.
"I wasn't aware ma" Mr Jumbo replied.
The principal exhaled then ordered Nath and Ellen to go inside. She took few steps forward again and said, "After Cent recovers, he will tell us how, where and why he had to bring the chemical to school. The way you teenagers behave these days is incredible! You have leant all sort of bad things even the impossible and unclean in the sight of God!"
The students knew that she wasn't talking about Cent and the chemical anymore but couldn't understand who her statements were referring to. Therefore they listened attentively staring at her.
The principal continued, "What class is Juliet and Olivia?"
"SS3 A, science class" some students chorused.
"These two students were caught practising Lesbianism this same day!"
"Heeeeyy!" students shouted. Ellen and Peace looked at each other while Kennedy tapped Nath hardly saying, "My ears have heard the expected taboo. Please, adjust let me faint"
Nath smiled. "I can't believe this too" he said.
The junior students wondered the meaning of lesbianism except some JSS3 students whose mind had been explored.
"Just tell me why a teenager would engage in such act if she has the fear of God in her?" the principal continued while the students kept quiet. "Resist from evil act and keep yourselves holy for your body is the temple of God! Because of this very act, Juliet and Olivia have officially been considered as a personanongrata coz i can't allow them continue in my school. The same is applicable to you and people like Cent who wants to bring down the name of this school. Until i hear from him" she concluded and ordered them back to their classrooms after the chemical had been wiped off.

Students remained in their classrooms. Juliet and Olivia became the topic of the day especially in the science classroom. Peace, Ellen, Nath and Kennedy watched two cars from the half-wall drove in-those were Juliet and Olivia's parents..
